Nuffy (they/them) is a non-binary Chinese Medicine Practitioner that hails from the Chinese-Jamaican diaspora, and they are grateful to call Ohlone land home. Their interest in Chinese medicine bloomed out of a Qi Gong practice and a desire to connect to their Chinese ancestral ways of being. They have completed their Masters in Traditional Chinese Medicine from the Academy of Chinese Culture and Health Sciences in Oakland as well as the Medical Qi Gong program at the Acupuncture and Integrative Medicine College in Berkeley. It is their joy to share this ancestral medicine and help people connect to the healing resources within themselves. Nuffy deeply resonates with how acupuncture and herbal medicine puts us in relationship with the wisdom of nature, the cosmos and our own bodies in order to treat imbalances that cause pain, dysregulation and illness. Nuffy is especially excited about the history and future of East Asian Medicine as accessible community empowering care. They organize community acupuncture pop-ups with QiKi Club.

Constitutional Facial Acupuncture

Nuffy practices Constitutional Facial Acupuncture as taught by Dr. Karin Parramore. Constitutional Facial Acupuncture uses diagnostic principles and techniques from East Asian Medicine to address internal imbalances that are presenting in the face. Mainly used for cosmetic purposes as well as any facial muscle or tissue repair, facial acupuncture can:- improve muscle and skin tone
- lift, strengthen and relax facial muscles
- address scarring, wrinkles and blemishes
- awaken facial nerves
Rather than an alternative to botox and fillers* , facial acupuncture has more parallels to the effects of a face lift and is another tool that can give people more agency as they age and change. With facial acupuncture, we are focused on beauty inside and out. The balancing of your internal system and the use of facial points allows your health and spirit to bloom and shine through your face.In addition to acupuncture, a facial acupuncture appointment may include facial cupping, gua sha, facial massage and recommended facial exercises. Like regular acupuncture, facial acupuncture is most effective with a series of consecutive treatments. For the most significant results, it is recommended to receive treatment twice a week for 3 weeks.**

*Facial acupuncture can be used alongside botox and fillers. However, you should wait until 3 weeks after any injections to receive facial acupuncture.**Patients receive $25 off each treatment when booking a 3 week program.
1 treatment= $225 6 treatments= $200 each $1200 total
***Bruising is a possible side effect of all acupuncture, including facial acupuncture. If you are preparing for an important event, schedule your appointment at least 2 weeks out from your event in case of possible bruising.
